Mechanics tied to these inputs

- Posture (stamina)
- Posture is shared between sprinting and blocking. Blocking hits and running both drain it. Empty posture means a block attempt becomes a guardbreak. Parrying does not use posture — you can parry even at zero posture.
- Block vs. parry
- Holding F blocks but costs posture and still takes chip damage. Tapping F right before a hit lands is a parry: no damage, no posture loss, and the attacker is stunned for a counter window.
- Heavy attacks (M2)
- Heavy attacks deal roughly 70% more damage than a single M1 and cannot be blocked. Hold block into an M2 and you will be guardbroken — parry or dash instead.
- Shift lock
- Without shift lock, your character faces the camera direction, which makes spacing unpredictable in tight fights. Ctrl shift lock keeps your character aligned with movement for consistent hitbox control.
