# Hyper-armor / IFrames

## Guide

**Hyper-Armor** is when your attack absorbs a hit without flinching. You still take full damage, but your swing cannot be interrupted and plays out to completion.

- **Hyper-Armor does not stop damage.** You eat the hit, but you keep swinging.
- `M2s` are the only armored attacks currently, active from startup until the hit lands.
- **Hyper-Armor** is limited to certain styles.

**The combat style perks that include hyper-armor:**

- **Hyperarmor M2s**
  M2s grant hyper armor during the swing, preventing interruption and stun. ([Wrestling](/guides/Fq0e4oUr-wrestling "‌"))

**IFrames** are a brief window where your character is completely unhittable. Attacks pass through you dealing no damage, no chip, and no hitstun the hit simply whiffs.

- **Nothing connects during i-frames.** Unlike hyper armor, you take zero damage, not full damage.
- `Dodges` are the main i-frame moves, active only during the animation's startup and travel you are vulnerable again on recovery.
- I-frames avoid strikes, but **do not** save you from `clashing`.
- Getting hit on recovery (after the window ends) is a full punish, a whiffed dodge is worse than blocking.
- You are an additional **iframe dodge** when fighting more than 1 opponent.

**Combat style perks which include Iframes:**

- **Untouchable**
  M2ing throws a two-punch combo with **IFrames** for the whole animation. Each punch is its own attack. You can eat the first and parry the second. ([Boxing](/guides/9zucAqBC-boxing "‌"))
- Float Like a Butterfly
  The crit shuffle grants **IFrames** for its entire windup, Shuffle straight through anything thrown at you. ([Ali](/guides/Roh6sIpv-ali "‌"))
