Gakuran Activities: Clubs, Chess, Karaoke & Things to Do

What is there to do in Gakuran when you are not fighting? This page covers the board's activity cards — chess and Connect Four, karaoke, arm wrestling, clubs, NPC events, fireworks, vending machines, seasons, and the pity system — and links the instruments, songs, accessories, and NPC interaction pages that keep their own guides.

Things to do in Gakuran

Beyond combat, the Official Board documents a set of small systems that give the school something to do: games in the board game room, karaoke and arm wrestling, club membership with its own uniforms, seasonal changes, fireworks bought with yen, and the pity system that softens bad rolls.

Four activity cards are big enough to keep a page of their own — instruments, playable songs, accessories, and NPC interaction — so this hub links them instead of copying them. Two more (chalk boards and the job system) already have dedicated how-tos and are listed at the end, together with their destinations.

NPC Events

NPC-driven events around the map, including the cars that drive the roads outside Nishikata High. They are world events rather than something you start.

Source card

NPC Events

Automobiles (of various colors and models) can be found driven by NPCs on the roads outside of Nishikata High—this includes: smaller two-door cars, four-door cars, small trucks, small vans, semi-trucks, and taxis.

Running into vehicles moving at a substantial speed will cause you to take damage, knockback, and you'll be ragdolled for a couple of seconds.

Whilst riding a skateboard, moving in close proximity to the rear end of a vehicle (with the exception of semi-trucks) will force your character to grab onto one of the rear corners of the vehicle, allowing you to hitch a ride by hanging on. You can stop this action at any time by simply tapping "s" (backward movement key).

You are able to attack vehicles with your fists—they aren't destructible, but the NPC inside the vehicle will show dialogue in complaint to your actions.
In some cases, continuing to attack the vehicle will result in the NPC exiting the vehicle and aggroing you.
If enough damage to the NPC is dealt, they will re-enter the vehicle and flee the scene.

Where these activity descriptions come from

Every section is republished from the open cards on the official Gakuran Trello board ↗ Features list. The board is the authority: when an activity changes, this page is regenerated from the next sync, and a new Features card fails the build until it is documented here.

The per-card Guide Pages are still online, but they duplicate these sections, so they stay out of search results and point back to /activities.
