Hyper-armor / IFrames
Hyper-Armor is when your attack absorbs a hit without flinching. You still take full damage, but your swing cannot be interrupted and plays out to completion.
- Hyper-Armor does not stop damage. You eat the hit, but you keep swinging.
M2sare the only armored attacks currently, active from startup until the hit lands.- Hyper-Armor is limited to certain styles.
The combat style perks that include hyper-armor:
- Hyperarmor M2s
M2s grant hyper armor during the swing, preventing interruption and stun. (Wrestling)
IFrames are a brief window where your character is completely unhittable. Attacks pass through you dealing no damage, no chip, and no hitstun the hit simply whiffs.
- Nothing connects during i-frames. Unlike hyper armor, you take zero damage, not full damage.
Dodgesare the main i-frame moves, active only during the animation's startup and travel you are vulnerable again on recovery.- I-frames avoid strikes, but do not save you from
clashing. - Getting hit on recovery (after the window ends) is a full punish, a whiffed dodge is worse than blocking.
- You are an additional iframe dodge when fighting more than 1 opponent.
