Grappling / Clashing

Last synced: Aug 25, 2026, 6:30 AM UTC

When two fighters swing the same attack tier (M1 vs M1, M2 vs M2) at nearly the same time, their attacks can clash (grapple). Both fighters are locked in place clinching each other for a short period, the fighter with the longest M1 combo leading to the grapple wins, and shoves the other back with negated damage. (-50%)

What Rolls the Chance of a Grapple?

The defender’s combat style (the one who loses the grapple) rolls based on the Resilience grapple chance on their style.

Example: You’re fighting a Karate style user (Resilience II - 25%), you both M1 at nearly the same time, but you your combo was longer, it makes them the defender granting you the win.

No Resilience: Boxing, Hakari, Capoeira, Kyokushin Karate
